Application FAQs

1. What other documents do I need to include?

In addition to your completed application form you must submit certification of your academic qualifications. We will require either notarised copies of your qualification documents or sight of the originals (please do not send original certificates in the post); if you are applying for entry to the Super Accelerated route you must also provide a transcript of your first MBA; if your first language is not English you may be required to provide evidence of your ability (IELTS 6 or TOEFL 560 as a minimum); completed reference form; current resume; photograph for identification purposes.

2. Who can be my referee?

Your referee should be a person who has known you in a professional or academic capacity for at least 12 months, in order that they can comment on your abilities in these areas. Family / friends cannot be used as referees.

3. How do I apply for a scholarship?

You can apply for one of our generous part-funded scholarships by completing Section 9 of the Application form. A limited number of scholarships are available for each intake and can only be considered to candidates who have enrolled on their programme through paying the initial deposit. Please note that awards are valid only for the intake specified and may not be transferred to on-campus programmes.

4. Do I have to have membership of CIBS before entry?

 

No. As a student of the Chartered Banker MBA programme you will gain student membership with the institute and your first year's membership is included in the programme price. To retain your membership with the institute an annual membership payment is required.

5. How soon will I hear from the admissions team?

 

Our admissions team will communicate with candidates via email so please ensure to include your preferred email address in your application form. Once your application and all supporting documents have been received you will receive a decision on your application within 7 working days and an offer letter will be sent via email.
