The Chartered Banker MBA Team were proud to take part in a signing ceremony with the Institute of Bankers Malaysia on 5th October in Kuala Lumpur.
The signing ceremony was held to mark the signing of memorandum of understanding between the Institute of Bankers Malaysia, Bangor Business School at Bangor University and our close partners the Chartered Banker Institute, Scotland, the oldest banking institute in the world.
This collaboration aims to develop and launch the Chartered Banker Education pathway to offer the Chartered Banker qualification and the Chartered Banker MBA programme to Malaysian banking professionals.
IBBM's partnership with the school would also pave the way for further collaboration in research, exchange of teaching and learning expertise and content development for conferences, seminars and thought leadership events in Malaysia.
Our Programme Director Phil Ryan, Professor Phil Molyneux (Head of the College of Business at Bangor University), Professor Ted Gardener and Mr. Simon Thompson, Chief Executive, Chartered Banker Institute attended the prestigious ceremony.
Chairman of Institute of Bankers Malaysia (IBBM) Tan Sri Azman Hashim declared at the ceremony that proficient banking professionals would better comprehend and lend support to the local banking industry to face the turmoil of the global economy by introducing the ground-breaking Chartered Banker MBA.
