  • During its 125th anniversary celebrations, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize joined Sir David Attenborough to receive Honorary Doctorates awarded by Bangor University at a special ceremony held at the University in June 2009.
  • Prince Charles is the Chancellor, and his most recent visit to Bangor was for the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Main University Building.
  • Project and consultancy work of high level is conducted by Bangor Business School staff for business & industry e.g. World Bank, European Commission, UK Treasury.
  • The Institute of European Finance, housed within Bangor Business School, contains specialist research facilities used by students and staff alike and includes a specialist library, finance and banking online databases and journals.
  • World Banking Abstracts, The International Journal of the Financial Services Industry, is edited by two Bangor Business School Professors: E.P.M. Gardener and Philip Molyneux (Head of the College of Business, Social Sciences and Law). World Banking Abstracts is an invaluable reference source providing immediate access to all the important articles published internationally in over 400 banking and finance publications.
